Mt. Rose

With the highest base elevation in the North Lake Tahoe area, Mt. Rose is the only North Lake Tahoe ski mountain that provides stunning views of both Lake Tahoe and Reno. The mountain is located only 35 minutes from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The coolest aspects of this mountain are the recently opened Chutes – six trails and 200 acres of some of the steepest terrain in Tahoe – and daily ticket specials, such as 2’fer Tuesdays and Ladies Day Thursdays.
 
 
Terrain: 1,200 acres-20% Beginner; 30% Difficult; 50% Most Difficult/Expert; 60+ trails. Snowmaking on 28% of terrain.
 
Lifts: 2 high-speed 6 packs, 2 quads, 2 triples, 2 surface.
 
Elevations: Summit 9700’; Base 7,900’; Vertical Drop 1,800'; Longest Run: 2.5 miles.
 
Snow Sport Schools: Group and private ski and snowboard instruction for adults age 11 and older. Rosebuds classes for children 4-10.
 
Amenities: Rental and repair shop, seven on-mountain bars and restaurants, snowshoe area, retail shops.
 
Shuttle: Shuttles from Reno twice daily. Group shuttles from Tahoe available with reservations.
 
Location: Between North Lake Tahoe and Reno on SR 431, at 22222 Mt. Rose Hwy., Reno, NV 89511.
