Kayak by the Light of the Full Moon with California State Parks and West Shore Sports
Date: Aug 2, 2012 (Thu)

7:30pm Navigating your kayak by moonlight is a mystical experience you won’t soon forget. California State Parks and West Shore Sports team up for this unique opportunity at Ed Z’berg-Sugar Pine Point State Park to experience Lake Tahoe at dusk while learning about the area’s unique history. The atmosphere is peaceful and calming, yet spectacular. We will paddle leisurely while admiring the moon’s silvery light reflecting off the water’s surface. Bring your friends and family for an experience you will not soon forget. No experience is necessary and this activity is suitable for all ages. The tour includes park entrance, kayak rental, life vests and instruction. Wear synthetic clothing rather than cotton (swimsuit, shirt, shorts, lightweight pants, jacket and warm cap). Bring water, retainer strap for glasses and water shoes. Proceeds benefit the Sierra State Parks Foundation. Meet at the North Boathouse on the Day Use side of the park at 7:30pm for the two hour adventure. Reservations are required at 530-525-9920 and space is limited.
