Summer EventsTahoe Big Blue Sprint Adventure Series Description: Welcome to Adventure Sports Week Tahoe. ASW Tahoe is ten days of competitive and non-competitive events. Come with friends and family and take in the best that Lake Tahoe has to offer. From wine walks to trail runs, these ten days at the end of June have events for everyone. Come challenge yourself during the day in one of the many competitive events, and relax during the afternoon with the Summer Concerts at Commons Beach or the Tahoe City Wine Walk. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to visit Lake Tahoe, and enjoy the best of its sporting events and festivities. 20th Annual America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride Description: The 20th Annual "America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride-Lake Tahoe" has built a reputation for not only its spectacular scenery, but also its great food and support. Boat Cruise/35-Mile Fun Ride, 72-mile ride around the Lake, and full 100-mile century are offered. This ride promotes Lake Tahoe Bikeway, the plan to build and interconnect bike lanes/trails around Lake Tahoe, and is the culmination of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's National Team In Training spring fund raising program. 3000 participants. Biking Resources in North Lake Tahoe Fourth of July at North Lake Tahoe Description: North Lake Tahoe celebrates 4th of July in style! On July 3, head to Kings Beach for a 7pm deck party, then stick around for a day-early fireworks display at 9:30. Call (530) 546-9000 to reserve space. On the night of the 4th, bring a picnic to Commons Beach in Tahoe City and watch a 9:30pm fireworks display reflecting on our beloved Lake. Or, make your way over to Squaw Valley and watch their annual show at the base of the mountain. Lake Tahoe Music Festival Description: 2011 marks the 29th anniversary of Lake Tahoe Music Festival at North Lake Tahoe. Our summer concert series kicks off annually with a fantastic Opening Gala at the private Brushwood Estate along the pristine west shore of Lake Tahoe. Combining great food, great friends, live music and a live and silent auction, the event is not to be missed. A complete concert series schedule is available at tahoemusic.org. All venues are outdoors, inviting you to experience a cool, North Lake Tahoe evening picnic with accompanying music. No outside alcohol is permitted within the Village at Northstar. Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival at Sand Harbor Description: This summer the Festival returns to traditional Shakespeare with one of the Bard's greatest comedies, Twelfth Night, directed by Producing Artistic Director, Charlie Fee. Expect a lavish production with gorgeous costumes and sets and beautiful music, performed with wit and clarity by one of the best professional acting companies in the West! The Sierra Nevada Classical Guitar Society will be presenting ticketed concerts, workshops and competitions throughout the weekend at various locations within walking distance from the Village. 37th Annual Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance Description: In 1972 a group of Tahoe Yacht Club members and friends got together to share their passion for wooden boats. From this modest beginning, the Lake Tahoe Concours d' Elegance has grown to play a significant role in the wooden boat community, as well as the Lake Tahoe maritime community. Since its induction in 1994 the Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation has hosted the Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance focusing on the continuing growth of the show, the quality of boat exhibits, the highest of judging standards and practices, and most importantly sharing the passion of wooden boats between exhibitors and public. 10th Annual Brews, Jazz & Funk Fest Description: One of the most rockin' events of the summer. What could be better than good brew and good music in a beautiful mountain setting? Nothing! With a great selection of beer for guests to sample and an incredible line-up of music both days the Brews, Jazz & Funk Fest is your chance to make great summer memories - all benefiting the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. $5 entry fee - entry & beer sales benefit the HSTT.
