Music

North Lake Tahoe, with its mountain-top amphitheaters, world-class casino stages and homey jazz lounges is one of the premier destinations for musicians and audiophiles alike. In Nevada, the Crystal Bay Club & Casino is a nationally recognized venue, showing regular acts that have included Umphrey’s McGee, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and the Eric McFadden Trio. These and other esteemed artists also find their ways into some of our smaller bar and restaurant venues, providing acoustic ambiance at Jakes on the Lake, dance parties at the Tahoe Biltmore and evening energy at Moody’s Bistro & Lounge (Moody’s enjoyed Sir Paul McCartney’s impromptu jam with local musicians not too long ago).

During the summers, North Lake Tahoe comes alive with regular outdoor concerts and festivals. Settle down with a picnic basket and a bottle of wine at Commons Beach on Sunday nights, ride the Cable Car to the top of Squaw Valley for a high altitude show, or enlighten your eardrums with classical tunes at the Annual Lake Tahoe Music Festival. If you keep your eyes open, you might even notice North Lake regulars Neil Young, Paul McCartney, David Coverdale (Whitesnake) and Mike Love (Beach Boys) enjoying the same groove you are.

North Lake Tahoe boasts several singular musical venues where you can see your favorite acts. Check out links to the right for lists of venues and click on the individual websites for more information as well as a complete schedule of upcoming shows.

Quote

“Crystal Bay has a $400,000 Gamble/Meyer system that kills just about every comparable venue in California, so if you go to any of the many shows that DevilDog puts on around the North Shore then you’ll have the privilege of experiencing this unrivaled technology, not to mention the killer acts that play through it.” – Blake Beeman, DevilDog Productions
