Driving directions

The neighborhoods of North Lake Tahoe are accessible via I-80 and three state highways – 89, 267 and 431. Below are the basics. Don’t hesitate to call us at (888) 434-1262 with any questions!

From the West (San Francisco/Sacramento):

There are two ways to find yourself on the North Shore from Interstate 80: Hwy. 89 and Hwy. 267, both begin at Truckee. You’ll arrive at Hwy. 89 (Exit 185) first as you come to Truckee, and Hwy. 267 (Exit 188) is about 2 ½ miles further east. The Hwy. 89 exit deposits you into West Truckee (Old Town is a little further east). From there, you’ll drive south toward Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Tahoe City, which is about 14 miles. When you arrive at the Tahoe City stoplight, head straight to access Hwy. 28 through Tahoe City. This will take you to Tahoe Vista, Carnelian Bay, Kings Beach and Incline Village. Or turn right before the stoplight and follow Hwy. 89 South for the West Shore enclaves.

From the East (Reno):

To Truckee:
Take I-80 West to Exit 188 (CA-267/CA-89, Lake Tahoe/Sierraville)
To reach Old Town Truckee, turn right at exit.
Turn left at Donner Pass Rd. and follow into Old Town.
