The Cal Lodge is a full service Lodge on Donner Summit in California. We offer affordable
mountain accommodations and a community environment. The Cal Lodge is a historic building built by U.C. student volunteers from the dept of Forestry in the late 1930's. The Lodge is owned by the Associated Students of the University of California, a California non profit organization which also functions as a student government at the University of California at Berkeley. The Lodge features Old Tahoe style architecture and is surrounded by a beautiful forest setting. We have ski/ in and ski/out out access to Donner Ski Ranch and Sugar Bowl Ski Resort provides a free shuttle bus to our lodge. If you are looking for a great and dynamic place to stay, close to some of the best ski resorts in California, and you want to meet people from all over the world, the Cal Lodge is your place. We provide a kitchen with all the pots, pans, and utensils, as well as sheets for the beds. Guests need to bring their own sleeping bags, towels and food.
