Beaches w/ Picnic Areas and Amenities

West Shore
 
Chambers Landing Beach is located about nine miles south of Tahoe City on Hwy 89 and is a flat, sandy beach adjacent to Chambers Landing Restaurant and Dock Bar. Concessions include a full bar and grill food.
 
William Kent Beach is 2.5 miles south of Tahoe City on Hwy 89. This is a small, sandy beach with camping, picnic tables and fire pits.
 
Meeks Bay is 10 miles south of Tahoe City on Hwy 89, adjacent to Meeks Bay Campground. It features white sand beach, boat launch, day use fee, picnic facilities and rest rooms.
 
Kaspian Recreation Area is south of Sunnyside on Hwy 89. Amenities include picnic facilities, BBQ, rest rooms and campsites across the highway.
 
Carnelian Bay
 
Carnelian Bay Beach is located by Sierra Boat Co. Kayak rentals on the beach and Gar Wood’s Restaurant and Pier just down the street.
Patton Beach in Carnelian Bay is a small rocky beach with picnic tables, restrooms and a nature walk. Summer concessionaire include kayak rentals.
 
Tahoe Vista
 
Agatam Beach is located adjacent to the National Ave. boat launch facility in the Tahoe Vista Recreation Center, recently went through a costly renovation. The beach features kayak and sailboat rentals, bungee jumping, parasailing and hang gliding outfits.
 
Kings Beach State Recreation Area
 
Coon Street Boat Launch & Beach, located on the east end of Kings Beach off of Coon St. Features restrooms, picnic area with grills, boat launch, farmers market and dog area. There is a parking and boat launch fee.
 
Kings Beach State Recreation Area is located in the heart of Kings Beach off of Hwy 28 and features basketball, horseshoes and volleyball courts. Summer concessionaires include parasailing, kayak, water bike, paddle boat and jet ski rentals. Burgers and authentic Mexican food at several restaurants across the street.
 
Secline Beach is located at the end of Secline St. in Kings Beach, just south of the junction of Hwy 267. Very limited parking, undeveloped rocky beach with access to lawn areas and picnic tables.
 
North Tahoe Beach
Located at the intersection of Highway 28 and Highway 267 in Kings Beach and features free parking, restrooms, beach volly vll court, horseshoe pit, picnic area and summer visitor information center.
 
Tahoe City
 
Skylandia Beach is hidden in the back of Lake Forest, but features a picnic table and grill, making it a popular evening place for locals and their families. A pier extends out far enough into the Lake to allow diving when the water level is up. Dog friendly.
 
Lake Forest Beach Park is a small strip of sand and shallow water, with a wide-open view of the Lake. Features a picnic table and BBQ grills. Follow directions to Skylandia, but follow Bristlecone all the way to the end. Park on the road.
 
U.S. Coast Guard Beach & Campground is located just to the west of the U.S. Coast Guard boat launch and includes picnic tables, grills, baseball fields, kids playground and camping areas. Enter through the Coast Guard drive off of Lake Forest Rd.
 
Commons Beach is located in the heart of Tahoe City, with parking behind the fire station. Amenities include bathrooms, a playground, picnic tables, summer weekly concerts, movies, and farmers market.

Tahoe Vista Recreation Area

Located at National Avenue and Highway 28 this is a beautifully upgraded facility that includes a boat launch, picnic area, restrooms, kayak rentals, a large plaza available for rent for parties and a variety of restaurants from casual to fine dining are nearby.
