There is so much to do in North Lake Tahoe in the winter, we can’t ever hope to cover it all on this website…but we’re going to try! Just over the Nevada border on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe are four major casinos boasting gaming, musical entertainment and more. These include the Cal-Neva (UNDER RENOVATION - CHECK FOR OPENING DATES), Jim Kelley’s Nugget, Crystal Bay Club, Hyatt Regency and the Tahoe Biltmore. Build a snowman, make a snow angel, or just romp around at any of these designated snowplay areas:
Incline Village Snow Play Area on Fairway Blvd next to the Chateau Clubhouse in Incline Village, NV. Located on the driving range, there is a gentle hill. Bring your own equipment.
Mt. Rose Meadows on Hwy 431/Mt. Rose Hwy. An undeveloped area eight miles up Mt. Rose Highway. Bring your own equipment.
Tahoe City Snow Play Area on Highway 89 South, l/8 mile south of the Tahoe City “Y.” Gentle slope, bring your own equipment.

The snowplay area at Tahoe Donner is located next to Trout Creek Recreation Center. Open weekdays and holidays all day long, conditions permitted. No personal sledding devices allowed. (530) 587-9437

Tahoe City Sports Park offers cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, dog friendly, restaurant, bar and ski/snowshoe rentals.
