Dining

Sharing a fine meal or two is a tradition when love and marriage are involved. Luckily, North Lake Tahoe is home to some of the most enticing dining options in Northern California and Nevada.

Foodies could volunteer several possibilities for a perfect-memory rehearsal dinner. Among them are the Lone Eagle Grille in Incline Village, with matchless panoramic views and signature High Sierra Cuisine or Manzanita, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe’s signature restaurant featuring seasonally inspired California cuisine. Or discover spots like Jakes on the Lake, where award-winning seafood meets spectacular deck dining in Tahoe City; Six Peaks Grille at the Resort at Squaw Creek; Graham's and PlumpJack Café in Squaw Valley; and Moody's Bistro in Truckee.

For a wedding day breakfast or informal, after-ceremony brunch, locals would recommend the Fire Sign Café on the West Shore and Rosie's Café in Tahoe City. You, your wedding party and/or guests will also appreciate North Lake Tahoe’s edible variety if you’re planning extended stays before or after the big day.

Sunnyside is famous for lakeside fish tacos. Tahoe City’s Wolfdale’s presents an Asian fusion cuisine adventure. You can also savor more budget-minded flavors like authentic Mexican food, hardy burgers, made-to-order pizzas… Speaking of budgets, check out cool deals for a sample of the savings that can stretch your wedding dollars.

One more suggestion, no matter which restaurants become part of your wedding itinerary. Take a moment to look up from your plate and appreciate the mountain/lake ambiance that surrounds you, not to mention the guests sitting across the table and the special person by your side.
