Entering the Wild Imagination: An Immersion in Art, Nature, and Creativity at Sagehen
- 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- May 14, 2016
- Sagehen Creek Field Station
This summer Trails & Vistas continues to expand collaboration with community partners to create experiences of art in nature. In a new collaboration with community partners Arts in Wellness and Trails & Vistas and the Sagehen Science Field Station, offers a day of nature and creative expression in the beautiful forests and meadows of Sagehen. Through guided walking meditation, solo wanderings, and journaling, we will blur the lines between the world’s imagination and the human imagination. Led by artist Susie Alexander and naturalist Erin Reading, the day’s activities will support deep relationship with the more-than-human world. In the afternoon, we will weave morning discoveries into art; no art experience necessary.
The mission of Arts in Wellness is to facilitate and promote personal and community health and harmony using art-making through expressive creativity to non-artists and artists alike. Arts in Wellness operates on a donation basis.
This guided hike meditation and art experience is May 14th, 2016, from 9-4 pm at Sagehen Creek Field Station, 11616 Sage Hen Rd, Truckee, CA. The event is limited to 23 people and costs $45. Please RSVP to [email protected] or call (530) 277-3669 for more information and to register for “Entering the Wild Imagination.”
