- Sugar Pine Point Ehrman Mansion
From 10 a.m. to noon enjoy our guided tour for identifying tree species of the Sugar Pine Point State Park. Participants will meet at the picnic tables next to the Nature Center. Discover details by hands-on touching the cones, needles and bark of the Sugar Pine, Jeffrey Pine, Lodgepole Pine, Incense Cedar, Red Fir, and other great trees. Learn about the human uses of these trees, the ever changing patterns of the forests, and the impacts of fire. Participants will also learn how to use the Nature Center as a resource for future explorations. This is a free activity for the whole family.
