Tahoe Music Alive Presents Bill Charlap and Renee Rosnes

Renee Rosnes and Bill Charlap perform a sparkling set of four-hand piano duets that traverses many of the couple’s musical touchstones in jazz. One of the finest and most empathetic piano duos in jazz history. Their music flows with the casual and organic quality of musicians with an uncommon simpatico, in life as well as in art.

During The Jazz Cruise 2025 sailing in February, Renee Rosnes & Bill Charlap were both inducted into the Jazz Cruise Hall of Fame, by co-hosts Emmet Cohen and Christian McBride.

Grammy award winning pianist BILL CHARLAP has performed with many of the leading artists of our time, from Wynton Marsalis and Tony Bennett to Phil Woods and Ron Carter. He is acclaimed for his interpretations of the American Popular Songbook and has recorded albums featuring the music of Hoagy Carmichael, Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers and Duke Ellington.

All About her 3rd Smoke Sessions release, Kinds of Love, All About Jazz wrote, “Rosnes elicits some of the most emotive and enthralling music of her career.” The Montréal Jazz Festival presented Renee with the 2018 Oscar Peterson Prize in recognition of her exceptional contributions to jazz.
