Day-Use Requirements at Zephyr Cove
Parking at the Zephyr Cove Marina is $12/day, and the parking fee is waived during the winter. The park is open year-round and experiences a high volume of visitors during the summer season. Parking is not allowed along CA State Highway 50.

DURING THE WARMER MONTHS
Beach Volleyball
Zephyr Cove Beach offers free access to professionally sized beach volleyball nets and courts. Get into a little friendly competition with the sparkling blue waters of Lake Tahoe as your backdrop! Whether you’re a pro spiker or just learning how to bump, there are plenty of courts to enjoy a few games of beach volleyball — the perfect way to work up a sweat before jumping into the cool waters of the lake for a swim. If you’re on the West Shore, Meeks Bay is also a great spot for beach volleyball, and they even have a hose to wet down the sand on especially hot days.
Swimming
During the warmer months, swimming in Lake Tahoe is an otherworldly experience. Watch your worries melt away as you float gently in the crystal-clear waters of North America’s largest alpine lake. There are spots all along the shore that provide beach access – find your perfect spot and make a splash.
Fishing
Lake Tahoe offers an incredible opportunity for anglers of all varieties. At Zephyr Cove, you can book a half-day or full-day fishing excursion through Tahoe Sports Fishing Charters all year round. You’ll depart directly from the Zephyr Cove Marina, and all equipment, plus light bites and beverages, are provided. The captain of your charter will take your group to some of the best hot spots in the lake, so you have the best possible chance of leaving with a good catch. Fishing licenses are required. California or Nevada fishing licenses are both valid across all of Lake Tahoe. Zephyr Cove Park Disc Golf
With 80 acres of forested beauty, Zephyr Cove Park is the perfect place to enjoy a round of disc golf. The park’s disc golf course includes 18 holes and plenty of fun obstacles to challenge you. The course is moderately hilly, so be prepared for a somewhat difficult hike as you play through each hole. You can also find other disc golf courses in Incline Village and Olympic Valley.
Zephyr Cove Stables
Explore Lake Tahoe like a true cowboy! Zephyr Cove Stables offers the chance to embark on a breathtakingly beautiful horseback ride through miles of trails, surrounded by sweeping forest scenery and featuring gorgeous views of the lake. One and two-hour rides are available, and groups of over 10 people can book a Meal Ride, which provides you with a hay ride and a hearty meal at the end of your horseback riding experience. Zephyr Cove Snowmobile Center is the largest snowmobiling center in the United States, featuring over 100 snowmobiles to choose from and boasting over 45 miles of beautifully maintained trails. Embark on a guided, private tour courtesy of the well-trained staff, or opt for an experience you can personalize. No need to worry about gear, either: the snowmobile center has you covered for clothing and gear rentals of all kinds. The center’s operational season is dependent on the weather; keep an eye on their website to see when they are reopening for the season. Zephyr Cove Beach Rules and Regulations
● Dogs are not allowed.
● No glass bottles are allowed in waterfront areas.
● Charcoal and wood fires are prohibited on the beach.
● No private boat access.
● Stay only on designated trails.
