Crystal Bay Club
Located on the Nevada California stateline, the historic Crystal Bay Club retains an era of vintage 1950’s glamour. A lively nightlife spot, the resort hosts a variety of music and comedy shows.

Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival at Sand Harbor
Every July-August, theatre-goers can enjoy a month long of Shakespeare performances beachside at Sand Harbor’s outdoor amphitheater.

Historical Sites and Museums

Emerald Bay Maritime Underwater Heritage Trail
The new water trail reveals a boat graveyard from the 1920s and ’30s. Four dive sites allow scuba divers and snorkelers to explore the secrets hidden under the largest alpine lake in North America.

Gatekeeper’s Museum in Tahoe City
This museum contains an eclectic collection of Tahoe historical artifacts.

Hellman-Ehrman Mansion on the West Shore
Built in 1903 by a San Francisco businessman, the estate sits on nearly 2000 acres. Visitors can tour the estate which was acquired by the California State Park System.

Thunderbird Lodge National Historic Site on the East Shore of Lake Tahoe
Thunderbird Estate was built in 1936 by the George Whittell, Jr, who owned over 20 miles of Lake Tahoe shoreline and is the center of much Tahoe folklore. The museum is also home to the historic Thunderbird Yacht. The site is open for tours and private events.

Tahoe Maritime Museum – Museum & Gardens on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe
Provides a unique cultural experience where the Lake Tahoe maritime heritage is preserved through exhibits, events and classes.

Tahoe Science Center in Incline Village
Visitors can explore the interactive exhibits, learn about the lake ecosystem, and learn about ways to “Keep Tahoe Blue.

Vikingsholm Castle at Emerald Bay
Vikingsholm castle sits in the middle of Emerald Bay. The home is considered one of the finest examples of Scandinavian architecture in the United States. Tours are available during the summer.
