Drone USA Show

Drone Sky Shows and Celebrations!

We’re thrilled that July 4 celebrations are returning to Tahoe City! After a 2-year hiatus on fireworks, we’re excited to welcome a new kind of eco-friendly show that aligns with Sierra stewardship and sustainability efforts.

This year, we’re welcoming an aerial drone show that will replace dangerous fireworks, eliminating the risk of fire and environmental pollution in Lake Tahoe and the watershed while reducing noise pollution for domestic pets and local wildlife.

It’s a light show you won’t want to miss! Orchestrated to music, over 100 drones will take to the air directly over Lake Tahoe, brightening up the sky and delivering a new kind of wonder. The Tahoe City show will take place on July 4 over Commons Beach.

We expect a year like never before, with happy visitors and locals and a return to packed streets, hotels, shops, and restaurants. The weeks surrounding July 4 are considered the busiest and highest revenue-generating times of the year for our North and West shore businesses—and we love seeing our businesses thrive!

We want to thank the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association for partnering with us to help pay for the show, which is significantly more expensive than traditional fireworks. However, we still need more support to bring this show to life! The drone light show will be partly funded by grants, sponsorships, and donations from generous organizations and individuals, like you. Please help our efforts to bring July 4 BACK to Tahoe City!

Incline Sky Show 2022

Incline Village Independence Day Celebrations and Sky Show
Celebrations: July 2–4, 2022  |  Sky Show: July 4, 2022

Incline Village Crystal Bay will debut a new way to celebrate the 4th of July this year, with a drone ‘SkyShow’ lighting up the night sky in celebration of the holiday. The decision was made in consideration of fire and environmental risks posed by a pyrotechnic fireworks display, shifting a longstanding tradition with an innovative new approach. The celebration, dubbed the ‘Incline Village Crystal Bay July 4th SkyShow,’ is a joint effort between Incline Village Crystal Bay Visitors Bureau (IVCBVB), the Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID), the Incline Village Crystal Bay Community & Business Association (IVCBA), the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe and the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation.

“We are excited to provide a fun, safe and responsible way to celebrate Independence Day this year through our drone SkyShow,” said Andy Chapman, President and CEO of IVCBVB. “We continue to work closely and collaboratively with local businesses and community stakeholders to identify opportunities that enhance the quality of life for guests and residents – from enhanced transportation programs to events that embrace sustainability practices– and together, we determined that a drone show better aligns with our focus on environmental stewardship for the region.”
